The Comfort Trust was set-up in 2006 to facilitate
the running of
Sunflowers
Toddler Group,
Buttercup Music and
1st
Saturday. Sunflowers Toddler Group started in January 2005 and had proved very popular with people in the
local area. The work expanded through Buttercup Music and it was felt it would be good to expand and
consolidate this work through a Trust.
After a number of successful grant applications we
were able to appoint our first paid employee; Nicola Carpenter;
as the Family Worker in April 2006 and launch Buttercup Music
alongside Sunflowers. The next stage of development was to initiate a once
a month Saturday morning group which began in October 2006 and is a
successful addition to our programme.
